About Me
Hi, I am Seth. I'm a political science and Chinese student at CUNY Hunter College in NYC. I'm presently working on a startup in the health space and writing about whatever piques my interest at the moment. This is a small personal website for the things I am thinking about, writing, creating, and recommending.
I'm a tech-optimist. I believe in the power of technology and innovation to solve problems. I'm a capitalist who believes in and supports free markets, although I also have a great amount of admiration for the People's Republic of China and it's unique economic structure + the development it has facilitated. I wouldn't call myself an effective altruist, but I understand their drives and wish them the best.
I'm fascinated by modern sociology, the science of development and capital formation, energy as a field (especially nuclear), scarcity-eliminating tech (desalination, aquaculture, hydroponics, sustainable infrastructure), Chinese politics/society, materialist change, near-death experiences, chronic disease (in particular invisible illness), and the works of HP Lovecraft and Chuck Pahlaniuk.
